A giant jubilee gift for Mirsad from Ülker Metro
Fenerbahçe Ülker’s legendary player Mirsad Türkcan was given a gift of Ülker Metro bars equivalent to the amount of energy he spent in the 1,280 matches he has played in to date.
The Fenerbahçe Ülker Basketball Team legendary player Mirsad Türkcan ended his basketball career at the Fenerbahçe Ülker – CSKA Moskova game on October 16, 2012.
Yıldız Holding Board of Directors Member Ahmet Özokur, who spoke at the jubilee ceremony held in honor of the basketball player thanked Mirsad for his contributions to the team. In his speech Özokur said the following:
“You have given great service to Turkish basketball. In the 1,280 games you have played throughout your career you have expended 768,000 calories. We are now giving this energy back to you in 4,100 Ülker Metro bars. Please don’t hold your energy back from the courts, we always want to see you in the basketball community. We thank you for the moments of joy you have made it possible for the Ülkerspor and Fenerbahçe Ülker fans to experience. May your path be open … "
Mirsad Türkcan had also played in a special advertisement film that Ülker Metro had filmed for the championship during the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Championship.
