The series began at 0-0, and with two wins in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe had a huge advantage when it went to Ankara for the next two matches. After back to back wins in Ankara, last year’s popular league champions return to Istanbul tonight for the 5th game, and a possible third league championship.
A win for Fenerbahçe, which defeated Efes Pilsen 4-0 in the 2006-2007 season, will make it the fifth club to win the championship. If Telekom wins the match tonight, the series will stand at 3 – 2 and another game will be played in Ankara. The first team to win a total of 4 matches in the series will be the league champions. This critical encounter will be televised live by NTV. Ülker has prepared a special show for Fenerbahçe fans at the match in Abdi Ipekçi tonight.
