The single-elimination tournament was for players born in 1997 and 1998, based on the league and point style. Teams who advance to the final 8 can have 7 spare players. The duration of an elimination match is 2X25 minutes, played with a number 3 ball.
Commenting on the Ülker Miniminikler League’s 93 matches in that were played in 25 locations over the weekend, Provincial Youth and Sports Director Tamer Taşpınar had this to say: “The reason we organized this tournament was to get our little footballers off the streets and provide coaching to our tiny, small and star teams of players. More clubs than we had expected took part in the championship. That has made us very happy. The matches were held in central locations to make them more accessible. Licensed regional referees officiated at the matches. The Istanbul Youth and Sports Management spare no sacrifice. We are always at the service of our clubs.”
