Three star soccer players met for Ülker Metro
Gökhan Süzen, Dirk Kuyt and Hamit Altıntop tested the Metrocycle
Metrocycle, the first chocolate-operated motorcycle in the world, completed a tour of Türkiye. Star soccer players, Gökhan Süzen from Beşiktaş, Dirk Kuyt from Fenerbahçe and Hamit Altıntop from Galatasaray, took part at the closing event of the Metro Energy Test 2 project at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Star players tested the Metrocycle and signed autographs for the fans.
A Metro truck completed a tour of Türkiye, reaching out to 800,000 people in 13 universities and 18 shopping malls in 11 cities for the purpose of introducing the Metrocycle, the first chocolate-operated motorcycle in the world. Star soccer players, Gökhan Süzen from Beşiktaş, Dirk Kuyt from Fenerbahçe and Hamit Altıntop from Galatasaray, came together at the closing event of the Metro Energy Test 2 project at ITU on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
Players met before the derby match and tested the custom-made motorcycle, which runs on energy produced from Metro chocolate. Gökhan, Kuyt and Hamit learned about the operating principle of the Metrocycle. The soccer players met with their fans and signed autographs following the excitement of the Metrocycle test.
About Metrocycle:
Metro reached out to consumers with the "Energy Breezes In" slogan and provided energy for a motorcycle in a pioneering project in 2012. A Metro-energy driven motorcycle was developed with the Metro Energy Test 2 project, in collaboration with the Energy Institute of ITU.
In an advertising campaign in 2011, Metro shot a commercial with energy produced by the cyclists eating Metro, a first in the world. The project was carried out with collaboration from the Energy Institute of ITU. The Metro-energy driven motorcycle was produced with the cooperation of the Energy Institute of ITU for the purpose of taking further steps in the energy field following the Metro Energy Test 1.
