Raising the bar

Ayar, indicating that the executive board will stand by their promise, said, “In the next year, we will become the team that Trabzonspor deserves. After competing in the 2nd league, we intend to get back into the first league.  Accordingly, we have had some negotiations with the Ülker Group.  With the support of Murat Ülker and Aydın Acun, we managed to purchase all the rights to Alpella, which fell from the 1st to the 2nd league this past year. The Trabzonspor Basketball Club Foundation intends to make our team one of the top four teams in the leagues.” Saner Ayar assured everyone that the formation of the basketball team did not require any money from the club’s coffers. He also indicated that transfer negotiations are ongoing and that the team intends to add a player from the USA to their lineup.
