Ülker announces first half of 2022 financial results

Ülker Bisküvi closed the first half of 2022 with a sales revenue of 11.9 billion TL. The share of Türkiye operations in the sales revenue realized as 60 percent, the share of export and international operations in the sales revenue realized as 40 percent

Ülker Bisküvi announces in a statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) that its sales revenue for the first half of the year realized as 11.9 billion TL. The share of the company's Türkiye operations in the sales revenue realized as 60 percent and the share of the export and international operations in the sales revenue realized as 40 percent. The company reached a profit before interest, depreciation and tax of 2.4 billion TL in the first half of 2022, with the contribution of its growth trend, increased operational profitability and international operations.


Stating that sustainability, R&D and digitalization efforts are very important priorities, Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan said, “We are closely following the trends in global markets. We closed the first half of 2022 with a sales revenue of 11.9 billion TL, with our strong, agile and proactive risk structure, workforce spanning wide geographies, effective strategies and successful management.


Noting that their position in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asian markets have also been strengthened in addition to Türkiye, Buyurgan continued as follows: " We are the market leader in biscuits in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. We are the third in the chocolate market in Kazakhstan. We maintain our steady growth in the geographies in which we operate. We will further develop our position and leadership in regional markets by providing added value to our employees, consumers and all our stakeholders. We offer our innovative products to our consumers by following rapidly changing trends all over the world. In the last 2 years, we have launched more than 150 new products to our consumers in Türkiye. With the progress we made in our innovation processes, we increased the contribution of our new products revenue in our sales significantly compared to previous years. Our goal is to always be the leading brand that understands its consumers best and pioneers trends.


Export to over 100 countries


Stating that in addition to Ülker branded products, global snack brands such as Godiva, McVitie's and Flipz are produced in Türkiye and distributed to all over the world, BUYURGAN said, "With our production in our factories in Gebze, Topkapı, Silivri, Karaman and Ankara, we have made Türkiye the production base of our global brands. We bring our products to our consumers with the “Made in Türkiye” label. We export to more than 100 countries,"
