Junior basketball players from all corners of the country came together at the 11th Ülker Junior Basketball Festival in Bursa this year. The Festival was concluded with a "talent competition" and picnic on Saturday, June 29. Officials from the Turkish Basketball Federation and Ülker came together with junior basketball players to watch the talent show and present them medals and participation certificates.
From Tekirdağ to Diyarbakır, nearly 1,000 junior basketball players from 40 cities throughout Türkiye arrived in Bursa and played plenty of basketball in five different sport halls over five days. A total of 64 teams, 48 boys' teams and 16 girls' teams, participated in the Festival, which is not about winning or losing. Juniors visited historic sites in their spare time, toured the Bursa Botanical Zoo and took a lot of pictures as reminder of the event.
The Junior Basketball Festival reached out to nearly 11,000 children in the Turkish Basketball Federation's event, sponsored by Ülker. Junior players acquired game experience and shared their knowledge through the friendships they have developed with players from other cities. All players received certificates of accomplishment and championship medals as well as presents from Ülker at the end of the games.
