Ülker Junior Basketball Festival gets under way....

Ülker and the Turkish Basketball Federation is organizing the 11th Ülker Junior Basketball Festival in Bursa between June 26-30 this year. A total of 64 teams, of which 48 are boys' and 16 are girls', are participating in the Festival from 40 cities.

Junior basketball players from all corners of the country are coming together at the 11th Ülker Junior Basketball Festival in Bursa this year. The children will be playing plenty of basketball for five days at the Festival, which is not about winning or losing. Junior participants will also visit historic sites, as well as getting the chance to mingle and have fun through activities like talent competitions or picnics.  Medals and participation certificates will be presented to nearly 1,000 students for taking part in the Festival. 

11,000 children in 11 years…

 Turkish Basketball Federation is organizing the Ülker sponsored festival, which is a significant event in terms of giving children the chance of playing sports and teaching them the virtues of the game, like being a team, sharing and respecting everyone within the game... To date, nearly 11,000 children have participated in the event, which is now in its 11th year. Those children had the opportunity to go to a different city, visit historic sites and learn about them. During the Festival, 1,000 players, nearly 100 coaches and about 50 referees will take active roles in the event. There will be 224 games played by 64 teams in five different sports halls over five days.

 The 11th Junior Basketball Festival makes it possible to effectively utilize the basketball potential in the country and expand the talent pool, which in turn, gives children the opportunity to play sports and achieve development in diverse ways. Ülker places great emphasis on sponsoring these types of projects as a brand that has been involved in sports for many years. It strives to turn sports into a part of children’s lives and contribute to raising healthy generations through collaboration with soccer and basketball clubs and federations.
