Ülker will distribute 10 million bottles of milk during the European Football Championship

As teams are preparing for the European Football Championship (Euro 2008) which will be played in June, sponsoring companies are also getting into attack mode.

Ülker has set a sales goal of 1 million for the Chewy brand of red and white chewing gum.

According to strategies announced by Ülker Corporate Communications Director Zuhal Şeker Tucker, 10 million bottles of milk and 168 million packages of chocolate and cookies with the logo “Our Minds are on Football, Our Hearts are with Turkey” have been stocked on grocers’ shelves. Every week, 2,500 delivery and transport vehicles sporting the National Team colors have been visiting 214,000 sales points to deliver the products. The vehicles have travelled 61 million km in the last 6 months.  The Group subsidiary Baycan, has produced a red and white variety of Chewy chewing gum in support of the National Team’s efforts in the Euro 2008 championship competition. Throughout the course of the championship, the red and white chewing gum with the logo “All the way with Red and White, We Support our National Team!” will be on sale.  The group’s main milk and dairy brand name, Içim, is running a campaign for the duration of the Euro 2008 championship.  Any single purchase of 15 TL or more of the product from an approved store will give the customer a chance to win prizes by means of a scratch-and win card.  Around 120,000 people are expected to benefit from the campaign. Tucker again indicated that Ülker’s sponsorship of the National Team is a big priority for the company which provides 38 million dollars annually to support Turkish sports. As its main sponsor, Ülker has prepared an advertising film, a video clip of the National Team, an internet site and field activities. Preparation of the advertising film began 4 months ago and 800 indivduals took part.  The video clip was produced with the assistance of the 18 players of the National Team, who all had roles in the production.
