Ülker will reward whoever sends the best message to the National Team

Ülker has announced its sponsorship preparations and communication strategies for National Team-Euro 2008

According to statements made by Ülker Corporate Communications Director Zuhal Şeker, Ülker provides 38 million dollars annually in support of Turkish Sports. One of Ülker’s priorities is its sponsorship of the National Team. Şeker added that an advertising campaign has been prepared consisting of a film, an internet web site and activities on the field, with the intention of creating an emotional bond with consumers.

Footballers have roles too

Şeker indicated that 800 individuals were involved in the making of the advertising film and video clip, in which  18 players from the National Team had roles..  She also announced that an internet website has been launched for football fans and families of the players, as a way to send messages of encouragement and congratulations through the agency of footballers Tuncay, Servet and Emre, at Şeker also explained that the person who sends the most appropriate message to the team from one of the fan-operated kiosks of the National Team will receive a prize. Since the signing of the sponsorship agreement in June 2007, 10 million bottles of milk and 168 million packages of chocolate and cookies have been sold, with the logo “Our minds are on football, our hearts are with Turkey” on their packaging.

Zuhal Şeker also pointed out that the company is targeting the sale of 1 million packs of red and white Chewy chewing gum. A Euro 2008 campaign for Içim has also been launched, stated Şeker:  anyone who makes a purchase of 15 TL or more will be given a scratch and win card and a chance to win a National Team uniform, football, satchel or magnet.

Şeker predicts an increase of 10–15 % in sales of Içim products will take place as a result of the campaign.
