Ülker’s human resources practices win 7 awards
Ülker, Türkiye's leading food company, won 7 awards at the “MENA Stevie Awards”.
Ülker won 7 awards in the human resources field at the MENA Stevie Awards, which awards companies’ innovations and achievements for the past year.
Ülker won a total of 7 awards: 2 gold awards for the "Commercial Talent" recruitment program it has been conducting since 2013, 2 bronze awards for its "New Recruitment Process", and 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze award for its "HR and Reward Analytics".
Commercial Talent offers young talents the opportunity to try out different functions for 1.5 years
Noting that once again these awards recognized Ülker’s HR strategy success, Ülker’s Vice President of Human Resources, Faruk Gözleveli continued: "We shape our Human Resources organization around employee happiness. Our 'Commercial Talent' project, which won 2 gold awards at the Stevie Awards, offers newly graduated young talents a 1.5 year-long program to teach them trade and sales across 360 degrees, and they get the opportunity to try out different functions in our company. We support young people with training, coaching, and mentoring programs in our in-house academy and, at the end of a year, assign them to their final positions.
In the 'New Recruitment Process', we use digitalization to ensure that both new employees and Human Resources professionals use their time efficiently. In the 'HR and Reward Analytics', which also won us an award, we benefit from HR & Wage analytics and data analysis to go beyond the standard wage management principles in the remuneration processes."
Gözleveli: We will continue to invest in digitalization in HR
Faruk Gözleveli stated that they are investing more and more in digitalization in the field of human resources, and that with digital HR applications, their goal is to be in constant communication with their employees, from recruitment to orientation. Gözleveli said, "In 2018, we moved all of our human resources processes to Workday, a platform that is more user-friendly and suitable for the needs of the digital age. We manage our main HR activities such as talent management, recruitment, and wage management through this digital infrastructure, which our employees can also access from their mobiles. In addition, we implemented new digital applications for 'onboarding' and 'recruitment' processes. Digitalization in HR simplifies business, makes companies more transparent, and reduces costs. While the digitalization trend continues to affect the world at full speed, it is very important that HR follows trends, keeps up with digital transformation, and renews its processes."
