Ülker’s special April 23 sapling gifts to children

Ülker’s "10,000 virtual saplings", which will be planted and raised through the augmented reality filter "Nature is Entrusted to Us" by Instagram users, will become a reality to be given to children and the participants of the campaign to celebrate April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Saplings will be planted in Ülker's My Beautiful Country Memorial Forest in Karaman.

Ülker carries out its sustainability efforts with a waste-free company model and long-term goals, and contributes to Türkiye's sustainable development. It’s remarkable social media campaign is another first.

Instagram users will virtually plant and grow saplings with Ülker's augmented reality filter between April 14 - 28, 2021, then share them with the @Ülker #Doğa BizeEmanet tag, thereby planting 10,000 real saplings.

Ülker will present the saplings to children to celebrate April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, to be planted in Ülker's My Beautiful Country Memorial Forest in Karaman.

Ülker's My Beautiful Country Forest is growing

On the topic of Ülker's My Beautiful Country Forests continuing to grow in different provinces of Türkiye, Turhan said, “Our employees work hand in hand to support the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Breath for the Future Campaign. In cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations, we have reached 60,000 saplings with plantings in Ankara, Karaman, and Gebze, where our factories have been located since 2011, in Hatay, which was damaged by forest fires, and in Elazığ and Eskişehir. This will add 10,000 more saplings, and we will continue to increase this number."

Our ‘My Beautiful Country, Nature is Entrusted to Us’ video series reached almost half of Türkiye

Turhan continued her words: "Lastly, we started broadcasting a video series titled 'My Beautiful Country, Nature Is Entrusted to Us' on our social media accounts, consisting of 6 episodes on the protection of natural resources, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste management, carbon footprints, and preventing food waste. Over 4 months, the first 3 episodes reached 28 million views on our social media accounts and 27 million views on YouTube. The videos are shot in various regions of Türkiye and convey Ülker's work in the field of sustainability as well as what consumers can do, with narration by world record holder Şahika Ercümen, and the views of experts and our company's managers."
