Yıldız Holding Acquires Two More New Brand Names
Oba Çay and Doğa, with their innovative approaches to the tea sector, have joined forces with Yıldız Holding.
Yıldız Holding continues to grow by acquiring innovative, promising companies that have small market shares but strong brand names. Negotiations with two new tea manufacturing firms are ongoing. The two companies are Oba Çay and Doğa, but the founders and current owners of the companies, Metehan Berktaş of Oba Çay and Feryal Menemenli of Doğa, are continuing their management roles. Both brands are targeting growth and an increase in their market shares, supported by Ülker's marketing and delivery network.
Doğa, which holds a small market share at the moment, has a diverse range of products which distinguishes it from other companies of its type. The functional food market is growing rapidly in Turkey and the rest of the world, as the demand for these products increases. In parallel with its tea manufacturing activities, Doğa will add breakfast cereals, natural jams, marmalades and sherbets to its range of products, in addition to its varieties of herbal teas. Oba Çay, which has a 19 year history in the sector, will make new investments in machinery and increase its production of tea.
Yıldız Holding is continuing to make the most of its opportunities, in line with the company’s business oriented corporate policy that was instituted in 2008.
