Yıldız Holding introduces modern art to children at Contemporary Istanbul

Yıldız Holding will continue the tradition of opening a children’s workshop in the modern art fair this year after doing it for the first time in Turkey last year. Yıldız Holding, sponsor of Contemporary Istanbul, Turkey’s most comprehensive international modern art fair, will be organizing the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop so that young art lovers as well as adults can become acquainted with modern art.
The fair which will be taking place this year at the Lütfi Kırdar and Istanbul Conference Center on November 22-25, 2012 will host 55 foreign and 45 domestic exhibits of 600 artists. Yıldız Holding, which has undertaken the “child” section of Contemporary Istanbul, will be continuing the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop tradition which was started last year. The Workshop will enable children visiting the fair to experience modern art through a variety of different applications such as writing, painting, collage, installation, video and digital.
Children who participate in the workshop activities which are both fun and educational, will also be able to exhibit the art they make with paint on canvas and other different materials. In the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop that was organized in the Half Century of City Walls: Burhan Doğançay Perspective sponsored by Yıldız Holding this year, children were also given the opportunity to meet and talk to Burhan Doğançay, one of the masters of Turkish art. Parents should take note of the date November 22-25.
Children ages 6-12 will capture the opportunity to experience contemporary art with unique, fun and creative activities in the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop on November 22 - 25, 2012 at the Contemporary Istanbul art fair. In fact, throughout the 4 days they will have the opportunity to become acquainted with modern art, artists and their techniques. Kids will be able to experience modern art with unique, fun and creative activities in the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop.
Every child who participates in the Ülker Children’s Art Workshop at the Contemporary Istanbul fair will tour the Modern Art exhibit and explore. After the tour they will be able to participate in the workshop where many fun activities have been organized.
