Yıldız Holding made Türkiye a production and export base with Ülker Biscuits
Yıldız Holding produces Ülker Biscuits and Ülker branded products as well as global snack brands such as Godiva, McVitie's and Flipz in Türkiye and brings them to consumers around the world. In 2021, the export figure of Ülker Biscuits in the snack area reached 291 million dollars.
Despite the difficult conditions of the pandemic, exports of 291 million dollars were realized in the snack area under the umbrella of Ülker Biscuits in 2021. About $100 million of this figure, came only from the exports of global brands such as Godiva, McVitie's and Flipz.
Stating that Türkiye is strengthening its position as a production and export center day by day, Yıldız Holding’s Chairman of the Board Ali Ülker said, "We lead the food industry, especially with Ülker Biscuits, in our country, which is the center of our business. We have made Türkiye the production base of our global brands with our new technology investments in our factories in the area of snacks. We are happy to introduce our products to consumers all over the world with "Made in Türkiye" label”.
Noting that in the snack business, exports are made to over 100 countries, including USA, England, China, Kenya, Australia, Madagascar, Netherlands and Ghana, Ali Ülker continued his words as follows:
“For example, McVitie's Jaffa Jonut cake, which won the appreciation of consumers in a short time, was developed in our R&D center in Türkiye. We produce it in our factory in Karaman and send it to England. In our Silivri factory, a wide range of products such as Domes, chocolate coated bars, tablet chocolates, market series are produced under the Godiva brand. We export the products we produce here to 27 countries, especially USA, Japan, United Arab Emirates. The Godivas that we produce in Türkiye take their place in the world markets. Our global branded products, produced in our factories in Gebze, Topkapı, Silivri, Karaman and Ankara, wave our flag all over the world. On the other hand, efficiency and production capabilities of our factories are highly developed, giving us an important competitive advantage in the global sense. All our efforts will continue to contribute to our country with our investments, production, employment and exports, and to represent our country in the best way possible.”
